I have noticed that some of you are accessing FOLN using the web at www.foln.org. Probably you upgraded your system and never downloaded the FirstClass software.
If you are away from your personal computer that is a fine way to check email. However, if you are using this as your everyday login procedure there is a much faster and better way.
Here is how to get it set up. Believe me - it is worth the few minutes to do it.
1. Download the FirstClass software I recommend the version 8.047 (not the 8.2 release) Go to: http://www.centrinity.com/ClientDownloads/80ClientHomePage It is around 5MB. so this will not take too long if you are on a high speed connection. 2. Install the application 3. Open the FirstClass client 4. In the login screen click setup. 5. In the login field put in your current login. I.E. (gbush or George Bush) 6. If security is not an issue on your computer, put your password in too. Passwords and case sensitive. 7. Select contact via : High_Speed Internet.fcp 8. In the server field put in fc.foln.org 9. I do NOT recommend automatic login. 10. Click login! Welcome once again to blazing speed and spell check!
