I was asked:
1. How long can you be logged on in a session? in a day? I often get told that I'm about to get logged off. I can understand it if it's due to inactivity (like when I'm just browsing messages, etc.) Sometimes, however, like last night, I had not been on that long when it told be I was about to get logged off. Any ideas? Maybe I'm trying to work during that 1/2 hour that FOL is not available.
Since we are somewhat limited on phone lines (7) we have set the system up to kick people off if they have not been "active" for 5 minutes. If you are getting this message then simply click OK and then click on another window and then back to what you were reading or working on. This just tells the system that you are still there. If you leave logged in -by accident- it logs you off and therefore does not eat up your time (BTW most people get an hour a day*) and this opens up a line for someone else.
*folks can gain more time on the system by becoming "moderators" These people simply oversee an area (or areas) on FOL in order to keep them well organized and maintained. You have an area that you like that could use some help? Let me know!
